I am a simple woman. If I should pride in anything, I pride in what Christ did for me on the cross. He paid a debt I could not pay: the debt of my sin. He has been a light in my path.
In a world faced with information overload, Christian teaching is no exempt. I am honored to share with you some of my personal curations from bible teachers. I hope you find the content useful to your souls and should Christ tarry, walk in faith and courage through the inevitable trials we all face.
My own challenges and those of others prompted me to begin a journey of deep research in an attempt to provide answers to life problems. As a Christian, I have sought answers from family, pastors, and friends. While some of their advice was indeed useful, there were times my questions were not answered, and the counsel provided to resolve a problem did not work or left me more confused, discouraged and sometimes I felt judged.
I, therefore, committed time to scan through the many resources that are freely available from gospel-based videos, podcasts, blogs and books.
To come up with this collection, I use a basic criterion which checks if : (1) the teaching is biblical, (2) it is gospel-centered, (3) it edifies (4) it is encouraging and empowering (5) if it offers biblical truth about suffering and trials.
As I started curating resources, I realized there was a lot of teaching about how Christians should face such challenges as abuse in marriage, mental issues, raising children, sanctity of life, poverty and riches among others.
While these teachings are primarily for those with an understanding of the Christian faith, most content is useful to all who could be going through hardship, suffering, pain and discomfort; for challenges are no respecter of persons.
“Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble. He comes forth like a flower and fades away. ” Job 14:1
These teachings have helped me a great deal and would; like to share them with you. I continue to curate the resources progressively and invite you to share a teaching that would edify and encourage someone else. Feel free to share this blog resources too. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2).
